ALL IN Girls High School Fall League Report: Week 1 Breakdown

WEEK 1: The ALL IN Girls High League got off to a great start with 16 Games, 31 teams and over 325 girls participating this past Sunday at Joy of the Game in Deerfield. Here is the recap of all the games of the Varsity and 9th/10th Grade League.


Scoring Leaders After Week 1:

  • Kristin Ralston (2019, Glenbrook South) - 18 points
  • Nora Ahram (2022, AIA Kahleaf/St. Viator) - 18 points
  • Christina Christos (2020, Glenbrook North - 17 points
  • #11 (Niles North) - 17 points

Week 1 Game Recaps:

Buffalo Grove (39) def Lake Forest (37)- This game came down to the last possession with Buffalo Grove getting the defensive stop to seal the victory.  Both teams play excellent defense. Buffalo Grove was led by Macy Floro with 14 pts on three 3-pointers and Kendra Lee (‘20) with 13 pts on three 3-pointers.  Lake Forest was led by Ellie Pearson (‘19) with 12 pts and Grace Tirzmalis (‘19) with 11 pts.

ALL IN Kahleaf 2022s (54) def Highland Park (35)-  ALL IN Kahleaf 2022 shot the ball extremely well from the 3 point line hitting 14 3-pointers as a team. Nora Ahram (‘22, St. Viator) had 18 pts on six 3-pointers and Macy Zei (22’ Prospect) had 11 pts on three 3-pointers.  Highland Park was led by Addie Budnik (‘20) with 10 pts.

Hersey (40) def Maine South White (28)- The opening weekend game was another defensive battle as Hersey pulled away towards the end of the game with some great defense knocking down a couple late baskets. Hersey was led by Janine Boyan with 13 pts. Maine South was led by Nicole Scales (‘19)  with 11 points.

Lynx (65) def Glenbrook South (57)- This was one of the high scoring games of Sunday with both teams shooting the ball very well. Both teams had many girls score the ball. The Lynx were led by Grace LaBarge (‘21, Fremd)  with 13 pts on three 3-pointers, Sophie Swanson (‘23, Barrington) with 13 pts, Kiley Szmajda (‘21, Wauconda) and Ella Karg (‘20, Wauconda) with 12 pts a piece and Savannah Gunthrie (‘19, Grayslake North) with 10 pts. Glenbrook South was led by Kristin Ralston (‘19) with 18 pts.

Rolling Meadows (58) def New Trier Green (32)- Rolling Meadows had a very balanced scoring night but was led by Moira Hickey (‘22) with 14 pts and 4 other players had 9 pts a piece. New Trier was led by Liv Becker (‘21) with 12 pts.

Hustle A (42) def City 1 (37)- The Hustle A team came out to an early lead in this game and was able to withstand a late comeback from the City 1 team. The Hustle A had a balanced scoring attack while #23 led the city with 12 pts on four 3-pointers.

Pirates (26) def Maine South Red (20)-  Both teams played great defense in this contest and both teams showed some rust on offense with their first games of the season. The Pirates held onto the victory and were led by Kaytlyn Matz (‘20) with 9 pts. Nicole Gardiner led Maine South Red with 7 pts.

Wheeling (37) def Hustle B (32)- This was a great game to watch as the game went back and forth with Wheeling pulling away late. Both teams competed hard. Tommy Jean led Wheeling with 9 pts and the Hustle B were led by #30 with 8 pts.

Storm (43) def Lake Forest Academy (29)- After a low scoring first half, both teams came alive in the second half with th Storm maintaining the lead most of the game. Sarah JnoBaptiste and Colleen Cox had 11pts a piece for the Storm. Zuanna Pacak led Lake Forest Academy with 12 pts.

Niles North (37) def Elk Grove (36)- This was a battle that went down to the end with both teams competing hard.  Niles North was able to hold onto the lead at the end to earn the hard fought victory.  Niles North was led by #11 with 17 pts with 3 3-pointers and #34 with 10 pts. Elk Grove was led by Isabella Tierney with 9 pts on 3 3-pointers.

Glenbrook North (44) def Maine East (26)-  Glenbrook North came out with a strong first half and took a nice lead into half time. Maine East made a run in the second half, but could not really close the gap in the end. Glenbrook North was led by Cristina Christos (‘20) with 17 pts on 3 3-pointers. Maine East was led by Caya Apostolou with 15 pts on 3 3-pointers.

Deerfield (38) def Lake Forest Academy (36)-  This was a close game with Deerfield pulling it out in the end. Both teams had strong second halves which made this one a close and exciting game. Deerfield had some balanced scoring with 6 girls making the scoring column. Lake Forest Academy was led by Courtney Harris with 13 pts.

Rolling Meadows JV (36) def New Trier White (18)- Rolling Meadows JV maintained their lead from start to finish. Rolling Meadows had a balanced scoring attack with all players scoring.  New Trier also had a balanced scoring attack.

9/10th Grade League

Scoring Leaders After Week 1:

  • Liov Pinchot (Ida Crown) - 14 points
  • Emily Galvan (The Press/Rolling Meadows) - 12 points
  • Stacy Dollia (Rolling Meadows) - 12 points
  • Liat Katz (Ida Crown) - 11 points
  • Olivia Mellen (Sky) - 11 points
  • Ally Orozco (The Press) - 10 points

Week 1 Game Recaps:

New Trier Blue (38) def The Press (28)- What started out as a very low scoring first half both teams turned it around in the second half.  New Trier had a very balanced scoring attack with 9 girls scoring. The Press was led by Emily Galvan with 12 pts and Ally Orozco with 10 pts.

Sky (36) def Rolling Meadows 9 (35)- This was another great game that went down to the wire. Olivia Mellen had 11 pts for the Sky. Stacy Dollia led Rolling Meadows with 12 pts and Emily Galvan had 10 pts.

Sparks (43) def Ida Crown (28)- This was the first game of the day and both teams really fought and got better throughout the game. The Sparks pulled away in the 2nd half with a balanced scoring attack with 9 girls hitting the scoring column.  Ida crown was led by Liov Pinchot with 14 pts and Liat Katz with 11 pts.
