COVID-19 Guidelines

Updated: April 19th, 2021

With the ever-changing COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions, ALL IN has protocols to help ensure that our players and coaches are as safe as possible. Participation is strictly voluntary and you assume the risk. If an individual does not agree to comply with these restrictions/protocols, the event and/or facility guidelines, and/or does not accept the liability risk, then we ask that they not enter the event, program, or facility. ALL IN Athletics asks that each person understands the risk of contracting COVID-19 and takes responsibility for their own health. These guidelines are for the safety of themselves, their families, their teammates, and all participants in the activity.

  • Drop-off & Pick-up:
    • Parents are required to stay in their cars in the parking lot for both drop-off and pick-up.
    • Only players and coaches will be allowed in the building to limit the amount of interaction between individuals.
    • Please drop-off your child 5 minutes before your scheduled practice time. All players will meet outside the designated gym entrance. Parents, please wait in the parking lot, until your player is let into the building.
    • Players must be picked up promptly at the end of each scheduled activity.
  • Daily Screening: By sending your child to any ALL IN activity, you are acknowledging that you have answered "No" to all the questions below on the day of the activity.
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had a new or worsening cough?
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had diarrhea or vomiting?
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had a fever temperature greater than 100.4 for children and adults (without taking any fever reducing medication)?
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had shortness of breath or trouble breathing?
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had a new loss of smell and/or taste?
    • In the past 24 hours has the participant had a sore throat, different than your seasonal allergies?
    • Do you have a household member or close contract who has been diagnosed with or or has been a close contact to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks or is awaiting results from a COVID-19 diagnostic test?
  • Equipment: All players must bring their own basketball and water bottle to any ALL IN event. Water fountains will not be accessible and all players must use their own basketball when participating in individual drills during practices and training sessions.
  • Cleaning:
    • Players will be expected to sanitize their hands and wipe down their basketball with disinfecting wipes prior to each practice.
    • Hand sanitizer will be available to players to sanitize during and after each practice.
    • Coaches will wipe down benches and bleachers in between each session.
  • Masks: We will be requiring face masks to be worn at all times by players and coaches at ALL IN practices, scrimmages, training sessions and tryouts. (We will be providing mask breaks for players as needed. The expectations of our coaching staff are that reasonable, realistic and frequent mask breaks will be given while players are socially distanced in the gym. We also recommend that each player brings more than one mask to the gym, as masks are most breathable when they are dry. If a player's mask becomes damp from sweat or water, they will be able to change the masks.)
  • Positive COVID-19 Test Guidelines: Anyone that is felt to have had a close contact with a known infected player or coach will be notified of that exposure. A close contact is defined as an individual who was within 6 feet of someone who has COVID-19 for a daily total of 15 minutes or more.
    • Those identified as a close contact will need to avoid all ALL IN activities for 14 days if they have not developed symptoms. Practices and events during that time frame will be made up in the future, as much as we are able to.
    • The player or coach with the positive COVID-19 test may return to ALL IN activities 10 days after their positive test, if they are asymptomatic for the day prior. Players or coaches who test positive for COVID-19 also must provide a written release for return to activity from their medical provider before allowed continued participation.
  • Testing Guidance: On the basis of IDPH guidance, we recommend players, coaches and staff to be tested for COVID-19 prior to competition and no less than twice per week.
    • Testing does not apply to the following participants:
      • i. those younger than 13 years of age, or
      • ii. those fully vaccinated against COVID-19: i.e., two weeks after the second dose in a two-dose vaccine series (e.g., Pfizer, Moderna) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson).
  • COVID-19 Refund Policy:
    • In the event that programming is affected by COVID-19 related regulations, our first priority will be to reschedule practices and events later in the season and/or to extend the season if necessary.
    • If we are unable to reschedule missed practices or events, refunds/credits will be provided on a pro-rated basis.
  • Additional Guidelines: Please note, there may be additional guidelines put in place at anytime due to changes in local, state or national guidelines. We will communicate any additional pertinent guidelines.
